There was a game this weekend right?

I hate that they didn't show the Ducks/Stars game this weekend on TV. The idea of buying the NHL package or Center Ice...or whatever...is completely pointless when they show 89% of the games on TV and I clearly don't care about watching anyone else. It's not until they don't show a game that I actually consider investing in the stupid thing. So...I obviously didn't see the game, and I was unable to listen...I had to rely on my phone for updates, which was confusing. I don't know if anyone else had this same issue, but I use Sportacular to get my updates and I noticed that we were up 2-1 at one point. I was very excited. Then I noticed it was 1-1...however the Corey Perry goal was still listed. HUH?! It seemed like everywhere I looked the score was 1-1, but the goal was still listed. It wasn't until I saw that the game was going into OT that I knew for sure it was disallowed. So naturally when I got home I looked into it and discovered that some Turco magic was put into play and that the puck had not crossed the line before the net was knocked off.

“They’re going to claim he’s sliding to make the save, when everybody knows he’s sliding into the post to knock it off,” Pronger said. “Yeah, he’s trying to make a save, but if he happens to knock it off, that’s part of goaltending. A goalie can do it constantly. Some goalies used to do that, were notorious for it.” -Chris Pronger OC Register

Anyway, I suppose it doesn't matter, the Ducks won anyway. The only other thing I saw was the great shootout goal from Ryan Getzlaf. I know it was a good thing for Jonas Hiller to get a win and forget the rough start he had against the Caps Wednesday night. I would have figured the Ducks would have switched up the guys in net during the back-to-back putting Hiller in against the Blues and Jiggy against the Stars, but whatever. 3 out of 4 points is acceptable I suppose.

Oh, and we'll see what happens in the future...but I was pleased to see the Brendan Morrison scratch. I am feeling guilty because I don't enjoy having this "dislike" of a Ducks player so much, but I can't help it...that guy frustrates me. I don't know how it all played out with this scenario...such as, how did the 2nd line do (other than not getting any goals)...did they play better without the guy? Anyway...it would be nice to actually SEE the team without him for an evening. Who knows...maybe he's feeling the fire after being a scratch.

One last thing, I tested my theory and I was right. My co-workers who are Kings "fans" can't name one current player. Pathetic (but I still love you guys anyway)!!

GO DUCKS!
