Updated:
Corey Perry is being suspended for 4 games for the elbow on Claude Giroux during last night's game (sorry that's the best video I could find).
He will be back in the line-up on January 11 against New Jersey.
Now I understand why Drew Miller was recalled
So I've been thinking about this more, and I'm kinda bothered by it.
Okay...elbow to the head, I won't argue that point...you want to suspend for that go ahead...but 4 games?!
We're not talking elbow to the head up against the glass or the boards...we're talking middle of the ice, fighting for the puck elbow.
I just can't imagine that 4 games for this is necessary...he might as well just referred to someone's "sloppy seconds" and taken an extra 2!
What about Alexander Ovechkins hit the other night on Jamie Heward where a stretcher was necessary!? Where is that suspension? That hit looked just as questionable to me! Heavens knows...if it was anyone else...
