Yea, for those of you NOT from Southern California...we've been hit by storms all weekend and it's been cold, well So Cal style anyway. Needless to say, I am missing the blankets and my bed right now!
Anyway. Like I mentioned a few days ago, getting to watch the game on Saturday was not an option. I wasn't home and it wasn't on TV. That being said, I did see the clips of both Bobby Ryan and Corey Perry's goals. They both were some good looking goals...most importantly they meant a win for the Ducks. Desperate wins = fine by me. Sure enough, on a day I predict the Ducks will need 4 or 5 goals to win...2 does the trick. Again, FINE BY ME!
A few days off for the Ducks while the rest of league plays catch up. At this point the Ducks have played more games (56) than everyone else (Pittsburgh has played 55 games...but who cares about what's going on with Pittsburgh right now?), so the standings are a bit skewed. This slight slowing of games for the Ducks will allow things to even out a bit. We'll see where they stand in a few days. Currently, they are holding down what many are calling the "sixth" spot. With the Ducks having played so many more games than everyone else, "sixth" is really misleading.
In the mean time, let's hope that Dallas slows down here a bit, as they've really taken off having gone 8-2 in their last 10 games and have played 4 fewer games (52) than Anaheim. Dallas is currently sitting 5th.
Much of the same can be said about Minnesota (7th - 52 GP), Vancouver (8th - 52 GP), Edmonton (9th - 53 GP) and Columbus (10th - 53 GP). Losses for all of those teams would be very beneficial to Anaheim’s status. Likewise...some WINS posted by ANAHEIM would be MOST beneficial!
The weekend was kinda crazy for me. Hoping to get some much needed "work" done, I didn't get much accomplished. I'm very looking forward to the big things coming soon! So don't forget to stay "tuned"!
GO DUCKS!!!
